We’re off!

Emily, Garrett and Ashley had great fun with the headphones on the way to Orlando Tuesday afternoon.

Gee, these toys are HUGE!

Garrett probably had the most fun of the whole clan Wednesday morning at the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” play area in Disney/MGM Studios. Of course, by noon (actually it was 1:07:16 p.m. EDT, give or take one or two seconds at most—you know how Stan knows the exact time for everything!), the little feller had all he could stand.

Stay dry

The kids loved the fountains Wednesday night at Epcot. These neat fountains shot water over everyone's heads and into a “receiving” fountain maybe 20 feet away. The kiddeos loved catching the water on the way down!

Breakfast at Winnie’s

Everyone loved the Thursday-morning breakfast with Pooh and friends at Magic Kingdom. Each little one got a picture taken with his/her favorite character.

Cheap fun

Friday morning was reserved for the kids' most-looked-forward-to part of the entire trip—swimming in the hotel pool. Too bad they didn't seem to understood just how expensive it was to do the whole dang Disney thang, and how plentiful pools are everywhere in the land. Well, anyway, this was a pretty cool pool. It had a bunch of neat, interactive toys like big water guns and fountains to squirt water all over you.

Downtown Disney (a.k.a. Cough-Up-Some-Dough)

We made it to Downtown Disney Friday afternoon. Treats and play were enjoyed by all. Ashley scored the prize of her life to take back home—a costume of her favorite princess ever, Jasmine, from the Aladdin classic.

Bonus days

After having our Saturday flight to Houston cancelled, we hung around for some more fun. Sunday morning, we went to Animal Kingdom, where Daddy ran into someone just “Goofy” enough to have his picture taken with him. Sunday night, we went back to Magic Kingdom where we enjoyed the spinning teacups of the Mad Tea Party (nobody even chunked, gratefully) and Lisa showed off her sharpshooting skills in the futuristic ride, Buzz Lightyear, from Toy Story .

We have some lovely parting gifts for you

Well, it had to come to an end sometime. On Monday, we weren't fortunate enough for our second attempt home to be cancelled. Coincidentally, right before boarding the plane for our midday departure, Ashley ran into one of her kindergarten classmates. We talked to his family for a while, then finally conceded to getting onto the plane and coming back to reality!
